    Los Angeles is located in southwestern U.S. West Coast, California, is America's second largest city, after New York. Los Angeles was founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, thereby becoming part of the United States. Los Angeles is a global city, with strengths in business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research and has been ranked sixth in the Global Cities Index and 9th Global Economic Power Index.

    Movies, television, music forms the basis of international reputation and global status of Los Angeles, located on the world-famous Hollywood city. 7036 Mulholland Drive，Los Angeles，CA 90068 is the classic look of the Hollywood sign, but also the free position.

    Universal Studios Hollywood is a movie studio and theme park in the unincorporated Universal City community of Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood movie studios still in use. Its official marketing headline is "The Entertainment Capital of LA", though during the summer it is often advertised as "The Coolest Place in LA." It was initially created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios soundstages and sets. It is the first of many full-fledged Universal Studios Theme Parks located across the world.

Jade Buddha Palace in Anshan

    In China, most of people believe in Buddhism because Buddhism allows people to perform good deeds. Chinese people believe that goodness is a virtue. People were affected by Buddhist culture.
    Anshan Jade Buddha Palace is the first national AAAA level scenic spots - Buddha Garden Scenic Area, located in the eastern part of downtown Anshan City, Liaoning Province. It covers an area of ​​100,000 square meters, surrounded by mountains, facing the water, perched beautiful Dongshan Scenic Area.

    The Nature-made face of the jade Buddha is amazing. when the “king” of jade stones was discovered, it was wrapped by a layer of ferruginous rock, and it was hard to distinguish its real quality as a beautiful piece of jade. After the artisans tore the outside rock away, they were astonished to find that the “king” was a piece of colorful jade containing 7 colors—yellow, white, black, blue, green, light green, and dark green. Between two color zones, some divisions are quite distinctive, while some are of miscellaneous colors and hard to tell. To make a face of Buddha out of such a material was a difficult task—if the face of Buddha was of miscellaneous colors, it would be a blasphemy. However, it seemed to those worrying artisans that there was no other way around but working in accordance with the already finished design. when the project was finished, the face of Buddha happened to be on a section of pure dark green jade and the hair edge on its forehead was right on a dark yellow section, which composed quite a colorful, artistic contrast on Buddha’s face,  so people call the process, “Nature makes the face of Buddha.”

China 'Yosemite'-----Kanas

Kanas is in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, China. It is famous for the Kanas lake. Its natural beauty and fresh air can be comparable with the Yosemite. The scenic spot is classified as a AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration. The lake was formed around 200, 000 years ago during the Quaternary period as a result of glacier movement. The crescent moon shaped lake have water storage capacity 53.8 billion cubic meter, average depth 120 meters.

There is a large population of Tuvans and Kazakhs in the Kanas valley area. While most of them have maintained their traditional agriculture and nomadic life style, many of the local people also begin to participate in the developing tourism business recent years, managed to establish facilities for orienteering, hiking, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding and camping.

Guan Yu Ting was built at an altitude of 2030 meters in the Sahara Decatur on top of the hill, with a vertical drop of over 600 meters of the lake. It is in the best position to observe "lake monster", so it named after the concept Guan Yu Ting. Guan Yu Ting is the only one able to stop and enjoy the beauty of the best platform in Kanas.

Kanas Lake is a lake in the other wonders of the giant "monster." According to local folklore, the Kanas Lake has a huge monster that can spray clouds, horses and sheep are often swallowed the shore, such legends, since ancient times, and continuously.     The nearest place from the sun in China is Lhasa. Lhasa is the administrative capital of Tibet. It is the second most populous city on the Tibetan Plateau, after Xining, and at an altitude of 3,490 meters, Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world. The city contains many culturally significant Tibetan Buddhist sites such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Norbulingka palaces, many of which are located in Chengguan District, the city seat.

    Lhasa literally means "place of the gods". It is Tibet's political, economic, cultural and religious center. Magnificent Potala Palace is the supreme symbol of the theocratic regime.

    Lhasa is located in the north of the Himalayas, by the downdraft of the year and more sunny weather, scarce rainfall and winter cold, summer heat, is a semi-arid plateau temperate monsoon climate. Historical maximum temperature 29.6 degrees Celsius, minimum temperature of minus 16.5 degrees Celsius, the average temperature 7.4 degrees Celsius. Rainfall concentrated in 6,7,8,9 month annual sunshine time is 3000 hours or more.

Giant Sequoia groves are majestic. They had reached the age of about 2000 to 3000 years, the tree about 80 meters high, bust 20 meters, the tallest redwoods height of about 104 meters, 6 meters in diameter.

    The meaning of travel is not only for fun attractions, but also the understanding of the local culture. The United States is a nation of immigrants, San Francisco is the same.So, San Francisco is full of different food culture, such as Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Thai， Spanish, and Korean cuisine as well as Greek, Swedish food. San Francisco's most distinctive dish are crab and sourdough bread. Two of San Francisco's most famous food street are in Chinatown and Italy town. Creamy clam chowder with sourdough bread are very delicious.

     San Francisco also can taste authentic Chinese cuisine. Here has Cantonese food and Sichuan food. Cantonese food is relatively light taste, and Sichuan food is priority with spicy. Cantonese food has Braised Vegetables with Black Mushroom, Sauteed Vegetable with Diced Fish and Black Bean Sauce, Sauteed Bitter Gourd, and so many other food. Sichuan food is more spicy, so the hotpot is a good choice. You can find traditional Chinese dishes everywhere in Chinatown.

 

In San Francisco the first choice is seafood. Let's take a look Spanish flavor of seafood. Spanish food has a unique flavor. Spanish food is very delicious, fresh and special. Steamed Black Mussels and Salmon Rice are made with sea food. Treasure Island an artificial island in the San Francisco Bay between San Francisco and Oakland. The island is named after the novel Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson, who lived in San Francisco from 1879 to 1880. The U.S. Navy bought this island  from the City of San Francisco due to US Naval war emergency needs on April 17, 1942, but  but later sold to the city of San Francisco for $108 million as part of a redevelopment project. Here you can across the sea to see the view of San Francisco. 

Golden Gate Park is a large urban park consisting of 1,017 acres of public grounds. It is over three miles long east to west, and about half a mile north to south. Here has Music Concourse Area, De Young Museum Academy of Sciences, Japanese Tea, Garden Conservatory of Flowers, San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum, AIDS Memorial Grov, Stow Lake, Spreckels Lake, Chain of Lakes, Kezar Stadium, Polo Fields, Windmills, Bison paddock, Beach Chalet, and Roadways. Each place has different features.

The Civic Center is an area of a few blocks north of the intersection of Market Street and Van Ness Avenue that contains many of the city's largest government and cultural institutions. The San Francisco Civic Center was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987.  It has two large plazas, Civic Center Plaza and United Nations Plaza. During World War II, Army barracks and Victory gardens were constructed in the main plaza in front of City Hall and the Library. 

The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco is the largest public arts institution in the city of San Francisco and one of the largest art museums in California. The   Fine Arts Museum's permanent collection were worth more than $10 billion. The building style is very unique in here. 

Alamo Square is a residential neighborhood, and Alamo Square Park consists of four city blocks at the top of a hill overlooking much of San Francisco. A row of Victorian houses facing the park on Steiner Street, called the "Painted Ladies" A lot of movies, television shows and commercials have been filmed in or around Alamo Square.

The Twin Peaks are two hills with an elevation of about 922 feet. Except for Mount Davidson, they are the highest points in the city. You can overlook the San Francisco skyline on Twin Peaks. Their west-facing slopes often get fog and strong winds, while the east-facing slopes receive more sun and warmth. When you stand on the Twin Peaks at night, you can see an entirely different view.

San Francisco is not just a financial center as well as a tourist attraction. Because of the climate, you can go travelling here in any season. The famous attractions in San Francisco are the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, Treasure Island, Golden Gate Park, Civic Center, San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts, Alamo Square, Twin Peaks, and so many. The best known is the Golden Gate Bridge because it is the landmark of San Francisco. It opened in 1937 and had until 1964 the longest suspension bridge main span in the world, at 4,200 feet.  The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean. It links the city of San Francisco, on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County.The Golden Gate Bridge is international orange because the architect Alvin Morrow think this color coordination both with the surrounding environment, but also make the Golden Gate Bridge in the fog Golden Gate Strait appear to be more common striking.

Fisherman's Wharf roughly encompasses the northern waterfront area of San Francisco from Ghirardelli Square or Van Ness Avenue east to Pier 35 or Kearny Street. Fisherman's Wharf got its name from the city's early days during the Gold Rush when Italian immigrant fishermen settled in the area and fished for the Dungeness crab. Fisherman's Wharf is best known for being the location of Pier 39, and it was famous for the Cannery Shopping, Ghirardelli Square, the Wax Museum, and the Aquarium of the Bay. You can see a lot of sea lions over there. Also, you can see a world-class fireworks display for Fourth of July, and some of the best views of the Fleet Week air shows.

Lombard Street is famous for having a steep, and eight tight hairpin turns. It was a very steep slope of a straight passage, but considering the traffic safety, in 1923 it was changed to the curved sections. Here can also test your driving skills.

The General Situation of San Francisco

It was the first time that I came to a strange city by myself. Also, it was my first experience of studying abroad. My first impression of this city was the comfortable climate. San Francisco is a typical type of cool summer Mediterranean climate.San Francisco summer daytime temperature is usually only about 20 degrees Fahrenheit, only about one week a year due to the impact of the strong breeze over Celsius 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I have to say that San Francisco is a very good vacation choice if you don not like the hot summer or the cold winter.This beautiful Pacific coast port city located in the west coast of the United States, between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco bay on the northern end of the peninsula. San Francisco is the second largest city in California, the largest financial center in the western United States, and an important manufacturing base for high-tech R & D. The very famous Apple Company and Silicon Valley are located in San Francisco. There are a lot of very famous attractions and food in San Francisco. Also, the diverse culture, mature business circles and convenient transportation are the characteristics of San Francisco. Next time, I will introduce the famous attractions.

The first trip of life

The first trip of life is the place where we were born. For me, I never forget my birth cities' streets, squares, food and humanities. I was born in a  coastal city in China which calls Dalian. It is a major city and seaport in the south of Liaoning province, Northeast China. It is surrounded by the waters of the Yellow Sea to the east and the Bohai Sea to the west and south. Across the Bohai Sea to the south lies the Shandong peninsula.My city is famous by the seafood, cherry, squares, and the International Fashion Festival.Today Dalian serves as a regional financial base and an important international shipping center in China.
